					Background.
Purchased the smart brooder for 500 chicks after seeing a similar system at a poultry farm. Arinifu installed the smart brooder almost immediately in my farm in Kajiado.

The smart brooder... read more comprise of black box which would require you to insert a prepaid Sim card which would be used to send you messages, it has three 250 watts heat bulb, two temparature sensors and one humidity sensor.

Test run
The smart brooder was installed and we run a test. The device was indeed smart. It monitored temparature, humidity and it switches itself on and off without human input.

Actual use of Arinifu smart brooder.
The device was first used in March 2020 and it performed as per expected. I used it to brood 200 chicks. At the touch of a button when chicks arrived, a farmer activities in a brooder is reduced to just adding feeds and water. No more worries about the warmth at the brooder. The device alerts the farmer when a heater is turn on or off, the state of humidity and it also alerts the farmer on the dates of different vaccination dates when due.

Usage.
The smart brooder has served me for a year now, I have so far brooded over 1000 chicks in four batches (every quarter).
Satisfaction of the device to manage the mentioned activity of brooding for the first 30 days has just been made easier and mortality free from deaths resulting from stress as a result of cold/hotter brooder house.
